UNTIL last week, we thought there was no way to improve upon a leisurely lunch at Pizza Express.
Perfect pizza made with fresh ingredients before our very eyes, a relaxed atmosphere and views out to Wainwright’s Yard with its range of thriving, unique, one-off stores.
There’s even a dedicated weight-watchers menu full of tasty options guaranteed to contain less than 500 calories for truly guilt free eating out!
But this man claims he can make a visit to his restaurant even better - just as long as you’re armed with an iPhone.
Pizza Express manager James Tucker explains that a brand new app will allow you to settle your bill instantly using your phone - maximising eating and chatting time.
“It means people can come and have lunch or dinner knowing they’ll be no delay to pay their bill during busy times,” James tells us.
“You can literally enjoy your meal, pay by iPhone and leave to go home or get back to work straight away.
“We already very proud of the service we offer - but we think this makes it even better.”
Even downloading the app is hassle free, James promises. You can either log onto the Pizza Express website and follow the instructions or pick up a card at the restaurant which you can scan with your iPhone.
