Your marble table awaits: PizzaExpress Kendal

Following a recent remodel, PizzaExpress is ready to serve pizza with pizzazz for returning and new customers.

Remodelled as part of the brand’s nationwide refurbishment programme, customers of our Wainwright’s Yard PizzaExpress will be greeted with an illustration of PizzaExpress founder Peter Boizot as they enjoy a touch of theatre during their dining experience. Pizzaiolos will knead and flare dough right in front of their eyes before topping it off with their chosen fresh ingredients.

As the days get longer and warmer, customers can indulge in one of PizzaExpress’ iconic pizzas in the restaurant’s secluded outdoor dining area – one of only a few here in Kendal. The al fresco dining area is the perfect destination for a refreshing spring cocktail, including the Raspberry Cosmo Spritz and Pimm’s Summer Cup, and a slice of pizza during the warmer months.

Our PizzaExpress Kendal General Manager Frank Hamblett-Jones, who began his career as an Assistant Manager at the restaurant in 2017, and his 20 dedicated team members are excited to show off the remodelled pizzeria.

“I am so proud to lead the team at PizzaExpress Kendal, from our waiter Katie, who has been with us for 18 years, to our back-of-house trainer and Pizzaiolo Aneta, who has been with us for 16 years and has helped open some of our international restaurants in Hong Kong and Singapore, the entire team can’t wait to show off our new look.

“With our recently introduced Spring menu of new and returning favourites, we can’t wait to welcome back our customers to enjoy their favourite pizzas.”

Customers will also find iconic flavours on the Spring menu, as the pizzeria brand has returned some of the nation’s favourite pizzas to the menu. Some of the legendary pizzas returning include the Romana American Hottest, a slice of heritage with the Soho ’65, and a veggie inferno with the Vegan Mezze.

For those looking for a lighter take, customers can choose any Classic or Romana recipe on a Leggera base – under 600 calories, Leggera pizzas are served on a Classic-sized ring of dough with a hole in the middle filled with a fresh, dressed salad. There are also iconic salad options, including the ever-popular Bosco or Niçoise (tuna) – on the menu since 1985.

Along with iconic favourites and veggie, vegan, and gluten-free options, kids can enjoy the much-loved Piccolo menu, which includes Dough Balls, pizza, pasta or salad, dessert, and a Bambinoccino for just £7.95.

That’s not all, with savvy customers who dine at PizzaExpress also able to unlock offers and savings if they join the PizzaExpress Club, which provides incredible rewards every time customers dine, from Dough Balls upon signing up to the club to a free child’s meal and more at Gold.
