Mark Weighman, owner of Elsewhere Bar, turned his lifelong love of Spanish culture into a thriving bar with real oul here in Wainwright’s Yard. He leads a close‑knit team whose creativity sparks imaginative ideas for drinks and social events. Known for its welcoming vibes, the bar serves cocktails made on the spot with fresh ingredients and house‑made syrups, alongside Lakes Brew Co. beer, Farrers coffee and cakes by Ginger Bakers. They host weekly quiz nights, themed monthly cocktail evenings, and upstairs private hire, all while collaborating with local businesses and joining in Kendal’s community events.
